College and Alumni Program

The College and Alumni Program (CAP) is a program of Making Waves Foundation that offers a network of academic, financial and social-emotional support for low-income college students who attended the Middle and Upper School Programs of the Making Waves Academy. It provides a bridge between college acceptance and college graduation. CAP provides 1:1 college coaching, personal financial coordination, need-based scholarships of up to $60,000 (over six years) and a variety of ongoing professional and peer support.

College and Alumni Program, Bay Area

In 2016, the College and Alumni Program launched CAP Bay Area, an extension of the program which will support 150 additional low-income high school graduates each year from the nine Bay Area counties. CAP Bay Area will provide 1:1 college coaching, personal financial coordination, need-based scholarships of up to $25,000 (over 5 years) and ongoing professional support. For the first time, this program will extend the impact of Making Waves beyond the students who have graduated from the Making Waves Education Program or Making Waves Academy. The inaugural CAP Bay Area class begins Fall 2016.
