At Making Waves, we’re opening doors to economic mobility. Partnering with students as early as 5th grade through high school, college, and into their careers – our programs provide students with the educational opportunities, career skills, and financial literacy to meet their goals and thrive. Across Making Waves Academy and Making Waves Education Foundation, we support 1,000+ 5th-12th grade students and 430+ college students with a proud alumni network of 750+ college graduates. Partnerships make this work possible.

University Partnerships
At Making Waves, we believe that every student deserves access to higher education and the support needed to thrive. Making Waves Academy is a public charter school in Richmond, California for students in grades 5-12, and Making Waves Education Foundation provides scholarships and coaching for up to six years of college.
Some of the benefits of partnering with Making Waves include:
- A direct pipeline to college ready students: connect with students from diverse backgrounds who attend a top-ranked high school and are prepared for higher education. Keep in touch throughout the admissions and application process.
- Financial aid and funding for your students: Making Waves works directly with our students and families on FAFSA applications, provides college scholarships, and ongoing college budgeting support with a 1-1 financial coordinator. 86% of our students graduate from college debt-free.
- Coaching for students to reach graduation: Making waves provides 1-1 coaching around academics, career, community, finances, and wellness so students have the support they need to graduate from college on time, with minimal debt, and ready for their first job.
