School Site Council (SSC)
The MWA School Site Council is an elected, representative, stakeholder body of the school comprised of parents, staff, administrators, and students. SSC meetings occur the first Thursday evening of the month throughout the school year. Meetings are open to the public and the school community to attend. The SSC provides valuable stakeholder input on important programmatic and financial matters that impact the school. Review and input items include: 1) progress against schoolwide WASC goals involving English Language Development, Special Education, GATE, and Intervention; and 2) Budget and Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) review. The SSC also allows for stakeholders to raise and discuss concerns and changes they would like to see, such as the addition of more frequent and varied student field experiences.
